Igbo Women Assembly is an umbrella organization of all Igbo women in the 5-South Eastern States and Delta State, registered with the corporate Affairs Commission, with the purpose of uplifting the status of Igbo women and the less privileged in our society. We encourage women to attain the height of their potentials in all aspects of life and human endeavour’s. We have registered cooperative societies  through which we empower women, so that they can be self-reliant and contribute to the growth and development of their families.

Dear Professor T. Nwala,
I have been directed by the World Igbo Congress Executive Committee to formally acknowledge the receipt of your letter of Invitation to the “International Colloquium on the Igbo Question in Nigeria”. I have been further directed to forward our unequivocal endorsement of the said Colloquium billed for June/July,2013.  We are very sorry for the lateness in issuing this acknowledgement and endorsement.
The World Igbo Congress Board of Directors will be meeting  in Los Angeles, California between  March, 15-16, 2013 to consider among other issues, our appointment and confirmation of our point-person((s) to this august body. It follows
therefore, that we will then be able to forward our nominee(s) to serve as our official representative(s)  in your organizing Committee.

I acknowledge receipt of the proposal for the “International Colloquium on the Igbo Question in Nigeria” and request for our endorsement. I have discussed the detail of the proposal with the ISA executive board, and I am pleased to inform you that ISA has fully endorsed the colloquium as proposed.
Also, we have appointed our Vice President, Professor Akachi T. Ezeigbo of the University of Lagos, as our official representative on your organizing committee. Please get in touch with her at with the detailed plan for the colloquium. Furthermore, it may be more effective if all future official communication with ISA regarding the colloquium is routed through Prof Ezigbo.

I have been receiving the communications from the Planning Committee. I am currently in the US to see my family. I wont be in Enugu for the Advisory Committee Meeting. Ditto for the Imeobi meeting.
(I do wonder, though, that I don’t get told of these meetings in time for me to adjust my schedule if possible.)
